Here are some fun and memorable activities to maximize your time together during Family Weekend!


Dukes take on Ball State at Bridgeforth Stadium

If your parents are in town for the Saturday football game, grab some tickets and show them what JMU pride is about! The electric atmosphere at Bridgeforth Stadium is something every Dukes fan should experience at least once. Don’t forget to introduce your parents to the legendary JMU game-day tailgating. Don't have a ticket to the football game? Stop by TDU and watch JMU Football! (Seating is limited.)


Take a Scenic Hike in Shenandoah National Park

If your parents are nature lovers, take a short drive to Shenandoah National Park for breathtaking hikes and scenic views. Trails like Bearfence Mountain or Blackrock Summit are family-friendly and offer panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, perfect for some fall foliage sightseeing.
